Basic First Aid
The techniques discussed in this manual are for use on adults only; in first aid terms an adult is anyone over the age of 8. This course aims to give you a basic understanding of first aid techniques and incident management. In order to be an effective first aider, you should have further training and practice techniques such as putting a casualty into the recovery position and providing CPR.
We believe that this manual reflects current law and good practice, but knowledge and procedures continue to progress, and you are advised to keep your knowledge and skills up to date.
