“Mental Health First Aid is a training program that teaches people how to help a person developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis.”

When we think of first aid we think of physical emergencies and injuries which a trained first aider deals with, but what if somebody has no physical injuries but shows signs of distress, upset or being troubled?
